About the event

Versatile Hunting Dog Federation (VHDF) Tests

All tests are dependent on an easing of Covid-19 restrictions regarding outdoor gatherings. In 2020, only Saskatchewan residents could enter but it is too early to know the guidelines for 2021.

Blood Tracking Test

A Blood Tracking Test is planned. Please find the entry form and more information on the VHDF-Canada website This test is being organized by Brent Grabowski, on behalf of VHDF-Canada. Judges will be Brent Grabowski, Joe Schmutz, and Nell McKim.

Field Tests

  • Hunting Aptitude Evaluation (HAE) including a water test, $150
  • Advanced Hunting Aptitude Evaluation (AHAE), $150
  • Performance Evaluation (PE), $150

Summaries of the tests are available as downloads on the VHDF-Canada webpage. The age limit for the HAE puppy test is 18 months and it is suggested that the minimum age is about 5 months. There is no age limit for either the AHAE or PE tests.
